The PPIA Graduate School EXPO is designed to educate
and encourage students from historically underrepresented communities
to pursue a Master’s degree in public and international affairs
and related careers. The EXPO will feature students who are participating
in summer internships in and around Washington, DC and sponsored by a
variety of leadership programs and minority-serving organizations. Over
six hundred students are expected to attend.
The EXPO will offer a number of academic opportunities for hundreds of
students and promises to be a premiere recruitment forum involving the
nation’s top graduate schools representing public policy, public
administration and international affairs.
Program Schedule
1:00pm 2:00pm Opening Session & Panel Discussion
Includes 3 experts discussing the importance of a professional degree
for careers in public service from both academic and practitioner perspectives
2:00pm 5:00pm Graduate School Fair
Over 30 graduate programs will be interacting with student attendees
and speaking about related academic, scholarship and professional opportunities
5:00pm 8:00pm Reception & Networking Event
All participants are invited to mix and mingle with interns, fellows,
alumni and program officials representing various minority focused programs.
