Washington, DC, 7/23/2012. PPIA is pleased to announce that the Deutsche Bank Global Transaction Banking (GTB) Diversity Council has made a generous gift of $3,000 to support our efforts to increase diversity in professional public service. In communicating the gift to PPIA, the GTB Diversity Council said, “On behalf of the GTB Diversity Council, thank you for all the leaders you support and for the great work that you do”.
This gift was the result of a nomination made by PPIA alumna Dorene J. Martinez (University of Washington JSI, 1998), who was a member of the GTB Diversity Council and is a Vice President for Global Cash Management Sales at Deutsche Bank. Dorene received a Masters in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School.
“PPIA is honored to be recognized by Deutsche Bank’s GTB Diversity Council for our efforts in supporting diversity in public leadership. This generous gift will allow us to expand our national work to educate and support the next generation of diverse leaders,” said Martha Chavez, Co-Chair of the PPIA Board of Directors.
The GTB Diversity Council at Deutsche Bank is a body tasked with improving diversity initiatives within its area of the Bank. Recently, the council was recognized for their efforts by the cross-divisional Americas Diversity Committee with a “2011 Leader in Diversity Award”.
