Josh Diosomito became Executive Director of PPIA on June 1, 2025, bringing 20 years of experience across public, private, and nonprofit sectors as a proud PPIA alumnus and champion of emerging leaders.  He began his career in public service as a Congressional investigator with the U.S. Government Accountability Office, where he led oversight audits that shaped homeland security policy, and also served as adjunct faculty designing leadership courses that fostered inclusive workplaces across federal, state, and local agencies.


He later transitioned to the private sector, where he led global leadership development, mentoring, and diversity initiatives at Capital Group and Harvard Business Publishing, impacting thousands of professionals across 30+ global locations. Throughout his career, Josh has focused on empowering individuals and building high-performing, inclusive teams to drive meaningful change.


A former PPIA Junior Summer Institute Fellow at UC Berkeley’s Goldman School, Josh has remained deeply connected to PPIA through service on its Executive Committee, Board of Directors, and Alumni Advisory Council. He holds a B.A. in Sociology from UC Berkeley (cum laude) and dual master’s degrees in Public Administration and International Relations from Syracuse University’s Maxwell School.
