Our Purpose

PPIA expands access to public policy and international affairs education and careers for students from low-income, first-generation, and historically underserved backgrounds. Through academic preparation, exposure, and professional pathways, PPIA helps build a more representative and effective public service workforce.

Board Role & Governance

Fiduciary Responsibilities

Board members are responsible for oversight of the organization’s mission, financial health, legal compliance, and long-term sustainability.

Strategic Leadership

The Board partners with the Executive Director to guide strategy, evaluate performance, and steward PPIA’s impact and reputation.

Financial Stewardship

As a Board member, you will review and approve annual budgets, monitor financial performance, and support fundraising and resource development efforts that ensure PPIA’s long-term viability.
