PPIA Announces New Leadership
PPIA Announces New Leadership

Dear PPIA Community,
I am honored to be appointed Interim Executive Director, effective June 1.
As a proud PPIA alumnus, I have seen firsthand how powerfully this community rises in times of uncertainty—and today is no different. Higher education faces uncertainty—funding cuts, policy shifts, and skepticism about the future of public service.
PPIA has weathered its own transitions, but our mission remains unchanged: opening doors, shaping futures, and amplifying the voices our society needs most.
This work is personal to me. PPIA shaped my career journey—now, I lead with purpose to strengthen pathways, drive innovation and uplift future leaders. As a former member of the PPIA Executive Committee, Board of Directors, and Alumni Advisory Council, I have walked similar paths as the students we serve.
And while I am honored to lead during this pivotal chapter, I know I cannot do it alone. Now, I ask you to join me in recommitting to the values that brought us here.
Here is how you can take action:
1. Connect with Leaders at 2025 Public Service Expo
Join us on Friday, July 11th, 3:30 – 5:00 PM ET in Washington, D.C., to connect with students, alumni & leaders in public service.
2. Reconnect with the PPIA Alumni and Community
Attend the PPIA Reception on Thursday, July 10th, 6:00 – 8:00 PM ET in Washington, D.C. to reconnect with alumni & renew our shared vision.
3. Give Back: Donate Here!
Your support—whether through time, expertise, or financial support—keeps programs and pathways open for future leaders.
PPIA changed lives—including mine. Together, we can ensure it continues to do so for generations to come. Let us move forward with purpose, courage, and commitment.
In community,
Josh Diosomito, MPA/MA-IR
