Ray Orquiola

Treasurer

Ray Orquiola is a retired executive communications leader from Wells Fargo, where he spent nearly three decades shaping how senior leaders communicate with focus, purpose, and influence. Over his 27-year career, Ray led executive communications, employment brand and marketing, national talent acquisition, and analyst development programs across multiple divisions. Known for simplifying complex ideas through structured storytelling, including deep expertise in the Pyramid Principle, Ray helped leaders across Wells Fargo craft messages that inspire action, build alignment, and elevate organizational impact.

Ray began working with the PPIA as a pro bono advisor, helping the organization modernize its communications, strengthen its strategic narrative, and build a more unified engagement platform for alumni, partners, and donors. His work quickly expanded into shaping long-term strategy, advancing the Opportunity Campaign, and designing new digital tools to connect and mobilize PPIA’s 4,000-member alumni community. Ray also advises the Dean of the UCLA School of Theater, Film & Television, where he supports strategic communications, engagement initiatives, and storytelling that strengthen connection across faculty, staff, students, and industry partners.

A proud PPIA alumnus, Ray attended the Junior Summer Institute at UC Berkeley in 1990, an experience that opened the door to graduate school and launched his career in public service and impact-driven leadership. He later earned an M.A. in Public Policy from the University of Michigan.
